Miss Haidee swimwear and kids clothes

It's definitely swimming season again, and there are so many great togs to choose from out there, but I can't resist the cuteness (and styling) of Byron Bay-based Miss Haidee's swimsuits.

Miss Haidee uses antique, retro and vintage fabric and trims to create adorable clothes and swimsuits for boys and girls from newborn to 8 years old. You'll find the staple swimsuits (for little one and a matching suit for Mum!) and beach tote bag in various recycled fabrics as well as adorable hats, bags, hair accessories, baby slings, nappy covers, baby rompers, dresses and pants. The organic cotton Star Wars Tommy Boy pants are absolutely killer!

You can find Miss Haidee clothes for kids on MadeIt (main store), Etsy and at upcoming markets in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, including the Finders Keepers market this weekend and the Mathilda's Market this Sunday in Brisbane. And check out the Miss Haidee blog for some behind-the-scenes information.

Jetta's Nest children's clothes

I first met artist Samantha from Jetta's Nest at our Brown Owls group in Brisbane where she wowed us all with an incredible doll she had made with an intricately-painted sassy face. Since then, Sam's gorgeous faces have gone on to adorn button badges, as well as a range of soft toys, prints, art cards and gorgeous clothes for kids.

I particularly adore the range of Jetta's Nest appliqued children's clothes that incorporate Sam's art along with recycled/vintage materials. I have proudly collected a few pieces for little Sophie (both above) including the one-of-a-kind toadstool top and the gorgeous Flutterby top made from a recycled Holly Hobbie quilt cover, recycled doily and recycled buttons. Both destined for the "keep me" pile of special clothes.

October is a really important month for us to all do our small part for Breast Cancer Awareness and Sam is generously donating 50% of the proceeds of her limited edition pink Lola Buttonhead brooches to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

You can find the crafty art of Jetta's Nest (and you can also put in a custom order) on Etsy and MadeIt (Australia) as well as various markets (including the upcoming BrisStyle handmade market in Deceomber). Check out the Jetta's Nest blog for a sneak peek on upcoming designs.

Welcome New Sponsor Flounce About

Pettiskirts for little girls are definitely a strong trend in the kids fashion market - those dreamy, luxurious, floating, twirly skirts that give a nod to tutus in colours you could eat. And I'd like to welcome fabulous flounce designer Flounce About to the Bondville sponsor stable. Luckily we have access to Australian-made pettiskirts - Flounce About skirts are handmade with love in Sydney.

Made for dress up and everyday, there are a wide selection of flounces to choose from to suit every occasion:
1. Princess Flounces - traditional pettiskirts with the fullest flounce.
2. Party Flounces - incorporating cotton fabric at the top of the skirts while still having lots of twirl factor. Can be made reversible in two colours.
3. Playdate Flounces - combinations of patterned cotton fabrics with a flounce around the bottom; perfect for the park or more special occasions.
4. Flowergirl Flounces - made-to-order extra special flounces for the Flowergirl to match your Bridal Party.

Flounce About also make pretty matching t-shirts, tank tops and onesies. You can find Flounce About pettiskirts in the online store, as well as at markets around Sydney. And forget Tupperware/lingerie parties - if you live in Sydney, you can get together with a group of friends to have a Flounce About party! Make sure you keep up-to-date on all Flounce About happenings on the Flounce About blog.

ScruffyDog kids shoes

Like many of us, I have a thing for kids shoes. So I was thrilled to be introduced to the super-cool Sydney-based ScruffyDog by my stylish friend Mellissa. Handmade with leather and quality materials, ScruffyDog shoes for children are both fashionable and functional.

I'll let the images above speak for themselves.

Oh, and ScruffyDog also has a fantastic recycling program called GreenNous:

"GreenNous is an initiative founded by the people at ScruffyDog with the aim of doing a little bit for the environment by recycling material that would otherwise likely be discarded. We encourage others to think about how the apparently useless stuff they come across on a daily basis might be reused or put to some good use and then turn those thoughts into action. It's all about green nous: commonsense recycling."

You can find ScruffyDog shoes at stockists across Australia and online. Now if only they came in Big Girl sizes!

Momie et Enfant baby fashion label

Behold the cuteness of new childrens fashion label Momie et Enfant (Mummy and Child). I mean, honestly. Right? How can you resist lacy cap sleeves, applique, bottom ruffles and angel wings?

Candice wrote to me recently to introduce her new range of vintage-meets-modern designs for baby and toddlers. Inspired by her own little ones, the Momie et Enfant range includes singlets/tanks, summer dresses, and bloomers, designed and hand-detailed in Australia. I can't wait to see how this label evolves.

You can find Momie et Enfant in the E-Boutique and at stockists in Queensland. Read more about this new label on the Momie et Enfant blog.
